Eunice “Babe” Bieze Fischer, 78, passed away Friday, February 1, 2013 at Liberty Hospital, in Liberty, MO. A visitation will be held 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Vaughn-Aufranc Funeral Home in Dearborn, MO; followed by a 4:00 p.m. funeral service. Cremation will follow. Eunice was born March 5, 1934 in Chicago, IL to Theodore and Minnie (Schuknecht) Bieze. She was raised in Illinois and moved to the Dearborn area in the ‘70s, and has lived in Platte City since 1987. Eunice ran the 29er Café in Dearborn before beginning her career with the U.S.Postal Service, retiring from postal service in 1999. She enjoyed life in the country during her retirement years, gardening, and spending time with her animals and family. Eunice had a huge heart for animals and spent her life rescuing animals of all kinds. She was preceded in death by: her parents; 4 brothers Richard, Raymond, Ted “Jack”, and Wallace; and 2 sisters Marcine and Valerie. Eunice is survived by: her 8 children Susan Justin of Sharon, WI, Kathy Midkiff of Whiting, IN, David (Judy) Fischer of Charleston, SC, Robin Cox of Caldones, CA, Don (Jerri) Fischer of Agency, MO, Gail Fischer of St. Joseph, MO, Patty (Brian) Twitchel of Platte City, MO, Laurie (Tom) White of Irvine, CA; and 2 brothers Harvard Bieze of IL, and George (Barb) Bieze of FL; 17 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
